Communicate for Results"Building a solid foundation" Language is one of the most basic elements in business. Most people are taught written communication at school, and even in higher education many learn primarily written communication. How much do you rely on the dreaded email for communication with your clients, colleagues and staff? In this module you will learn the "basics" of talking to people to get the response that you want more of the time. This module includes basic verbal (spoken words and sensory based communication) and non-verbal (body language, voice tone, tempo and rhythm, anchoring and eye accessing cues) communication patterns. You will go further and learn how to use words, gestures, sight, sound, tone and touch (where appropriate) to find out what you want to know (gather high quality information) directly and indirectly (using the meta model and milton model) and how to re-frame responses to create more resourceful states (using sleight of mouth patterns). By the end of this module you will have learned and practised practical skills to enable you to: 1. Be more flexible in your communication to connect with more people. 2. Turn negatives into positives effortlessly to enhance motivation. 3. Notice when someone is saying yes when they mean maybe or no to find out what else you need to do to encourage them to take action. 4. Get the complete picture before you ask someone to do something. 5. Know how to communicate to other people in the way that they wish to be communicated with in order to enhance understanding. The workshop is designed to be experiential and exercise based, and will work with metaphors appropriate to your context. Complete all five business practitioner modules and you will receive Society of NLP certification. |
